We can’t do it without you! The continued growth of youth lacrosse rests largely on our ability to attract, develop and maintain a dedicated and engaged group of coaches. We have extensive support to offer all coaches from the most experienced to those who have never been on the sideline. Please attend our open house to learn more...
HIGHLIGHTS
- Discuss the fundamentals of boys and girls lacrosse.
- View samples of our standardized practice plans and drills you can follow week to week to develop the fundamentals and learn about our access to online videos and drills. This helps take the pressure off a coach having to develop plans week to week.
- Meet the returning members of our coaching staff including Michael Curry- Boy’s Director and Ted Broomhead- Girl’s Director.
- Meet and speak with EBBCLA coaching director’s Meg Miller & Dennis Dobbyn.
- Learn more about reimbursement programs for training and certification through US Lacrosse. We will rebate fees for all coaches who receive training by US Lacrosse and the Positive Coaching Alliance. PCA helps to create a positive, character-building youth sports environment and benefits all coaches in all sports. PLUS - All Level 1 Certified Coaches receive 1 free player registration.
Meg is a former Brown University assistant for the past five seasons. Prior to coaching at Brown, Meg was a four year starter for the Duke University Blue Devils. She is a two-time All-South Region selection, two-time Second Team All-American, earned All-ACC honors as a senior, and was named to the All-ACC Tournament Team in 2003 and 2004A nominee for the women's lacrosse Tewaarton Trophy in 2003 and 2004, Meg was a Preseason All-American in both 2003 and 2004 and the ACC co-Rookie of the Year in 2001.
Dennis was a lacrosse Coach at LaSalle Academy (1969-1980), Roger Williams University (1985-1992 ) and Moses Brown School (1993-2004 ). He currently plays on the club team USA Team Stars and has been a RI college and high school lacrosse official for nine years.
