REGISTRATION OPENS IN JANUARY EACH YEAR
Welcome to another year of East Bay Lacrosse!
Over the past number of months, there has been a lot happening to alter the landscape of lacrosse in our state and we have been working hard to provide the best experience for you and your kids.
The age groupings are as follows:
Landsharks = Kindergarten/ Older Pre-K
Grade 1 & 2 Grade 3 & 4
Grade 5 & 6 Grade 7 & 8
East Bay Lacrosse is first and foremost, a developmental league, with the most emphasis based on fundamentals and a knowledge and appreciation of the game. To that end we created the House League program which results in the benefits of greater instruction, more playing time and less travel. Our league structure is an attempt to maintain a balance between this while also offering families a more competitive experience.

Placement by tryout only.
Grade 5 & 6
Grade 7 & 8
East Bay Lacrosse is offering a higher level of competitive play for experienced boys & girls in grades 5 - 8. Games will be played against competitive level teams throughout the region. This includes some in State RIYLL Competitive games, some home and away against established competitive programs in RI, MA & CT and 1 or 2 competitive tournaments. Along with the rewarding level of play is an expected higher level of commitment as stated in the policy below.
The program will provide the opportunity and venue for those individuals having the experience, skills and desire to play lacrosse at a higher level. Teams will be selected through tryouts with rosters announced as soon as available. East Bay Lacrosse will provide one travel team in each level. All age eligible players that reside in the towns covered by East Bay Lacrosse are eligible to try-out and play for the East Bay Lacrosse competitive/select teams.
Cost: $TBD
Placement is by TRYOUT ONLY. You must complete the basic registration first and indicate (and pay for) the DI tryouts at that time. Details regarding tryout dates and times will be sent to you AFTER you register.
Commitment Level Policy for Competitive & Select Travel Teams
If your child is invited to play on one of the East Bay Lacrosse competitive/select teams, they will need to comply with the following Commitment Policy:
East Bay Lacrosse Competitive Level Player Commitment Policy
When a player accepts a position on an East Bay Lacrosse competitive level team, he will be making a commitment to the coaches and every other player on that team. The team will be learning and practicing advanced methods of play that will only be meaningful if the entire team is involved in learning these methods.
Each player selected for a team will be expected to commit to the practice and game schedule throughout the Spring season. East Bay Lacrosse reserves the right to excuse a player from game play or the team if the commitment requirement is not being met.
If a player demonstrates an inability or unwillingness to live up to the level of commitment required by the team, East Bay Lacrosse reserves the right to excuse a player from the team or recommend the player move to a non-competitive (recreational) team within the East Bay Bristol County Lacrosse Association. Playing time at all levels will be determined by attendance at practice and games. Coaches will endeavor to play every player in every game, but the amount of playing time will be at the complete discretion of the coaches.
