·         Dee has been in contact with the current manager and has been given pricing

·         This year’s estimate exceeds last year’s total expense

·         Peter will contact Bill Dessel to discuss opportunities to minimize the expense

New Business

End of Season Survey Results – Peter Ramsden

·         The overall response rate to the survey was very high with mainly positive feedback

·         Carefully reviewed the responses in aggregate and shared specific comments both positive and negative to identify potential areas of improvement

·         Current coach training and programs in place provide the tools to address the concerns of the families.

US Lacrosse Date of Birth Guidelines for Age Grouping

·         New guidelines move most players back one year from current grade-based break downs

·         There was much discussion regarding the positive and negative implications of following the US Lacrosse age groupings including concern about kids already in the program and the impact it will have on their development

·         RIYLL will use the new age groupings starting in 2013

·         Dee will continue to work with the data base to run scenarios of various age cut-offs

·         Peter and Michael will work with RIYLL to potentially modify age breaks for 2013 season

MBGLL/Girls’ Competitive – Molly Lacerte

·         Molly has been in contact with Christine Haberman, Executive Director of MBGLL to discuss potentially entering East Bay Select teams into MBGLL for 2013 season

·         MBGLL has invited Molly and Peter to attend their South Division Fall Meeting on October 15th to discuss details

·         Review of MBGLL program and the requirements East Bay would have to meet does not look like joining MBGLL is a good fit

·         Molly will follow-up with Christine with some specific questions regarding teams, fees, Recreational League requirements, and scheduling

·         Some discussion about using NESLL as a competitive option again.  Overall interest in NESLL from RI players seems light.  Last year’s experience for the 5/6 group was below expectations.  Try-outs are on Sunday 9/16.

Nominating Committee – Peter Ramsden

·         Josh Davis and Chris Feeney have both agreed to serve on this year’s nominating committee

·         Would like to recruit another member of the committee

·         Dee will investigate responses to survey that indicated they may be interested in a board position

·         Recommendations for members of the nominating committee and the execute Board were discussed
